As an individual, marital, and group therapist, Jim believes that the essence of the therapeutic relationship must include a balance of support and challenge. He asserts that growth and change can only occur when this balance has been achieved. Jim's specialty is using his relational style to help people feel safe and motivated to face fear, depression and shame. His passion is to help people use the Christian faith as part of the healing process. He loves helping men work through issues related to being a son, father, husband and friend. Other interests and skills include helping parents with their children and assisting pastors with the mental health needs of their church. Jim has been a valued Baldwin Center team member since 1984, leading Co-Ed Encounter: Healing Together group therapy weekends with Dr. Wanda Morgan and the men's weekend, Warriors, Lovers, Sons & Brothers with Dr. John Baldwin. He also leads two co-ed groups and a men's group.
