Wanda K. Morgan, Ph.D.

 

Education and Experience:

Wanda earned a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and an M.A. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Missouri, Columbia. She is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Illinois. Wanda has taught in the Department of Psychology at Stephens College, and also at Trinity International University in Deerfield. She has been providing counseling services in private practice since 1981.

At The Baldwin Center:

Wanda specializes in marital counseling, group therapy, teaching parenting skills, as well as working with individuals who have suffered from early life trauma such as sexual or physical abuse and neglect. She sees the therapeutic relationship as a primary means of healing and growth. Wanda particularly enjoys assisting people in using their faith and relationship with God as a healing force. She has extensive training in Theophostic ministry. Wanda leads experiential Co-Ed Encounter: Healing Together weekends in Wisconsin several times a year with Dr. John Baldwin and Dr. Jim Gruenewald. She also leads two ongoing co-ed therapy groups with John and the women's group therapy weekend, Heart of the Woman.

On the Personal Side:

Wanda is married, the mother of three, and has two grandchildren. She is active in ministry at her church, and sings with the worship team. Wanda enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, swimming, scuba diving and riding her motorcycle. Her ideal way to relax is to sit by a pool or lake and read a good book.
